Roger B. Jacobs, Esq., Chairman

Roger Jacobs is the managing member of Jacobs Law Offices, LLC, located in Roseland, New Jersey.  He had represented management in all aspects of labor and employment law.  He is currently serving as an arbitrator and mediator and founded The Jacobs Center for Justice and Alternative Dispute Resolution.  Mr. Jacobs is currently on the labor and commercial panels at the American Arbitration Association; FINRA; Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service; New York State Public Employment Relations Board; United States District Court; and New Jersey Superior Courts.  He is an Accredited Business and Commercial Mediator at the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators. 

In June 2003, Mr. Jacobs was appointed to serve as a member of the New Jersey Educational Facilities Authority.  He has served as Chairman of the Authority since May 2010.  Mr. Jacobs also served as a Commissioner of the New Jersey Public Broadcasting Authority and served two terms on the Supreme Court Committee on Character.

Mr. Jacobs graduated with honors from Cornell University (Phi Kappa Phi) and New York University School of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctor and a Masters of Law in Labor Law. He was the Elias Lieberman Fellow in Labor Law and has received many awards and accolades throughout his professional career including being named a New Jersey "Super Lawyer" in 2010, 2011, and 2012.  He maintains an "AV" rating with Martindale-Hubbell, its highest rating. 

A past charter member of the Editorial Board of the New Jersey Lawyer Newspaper, Jacobs is a current member of the Editorial Board of the Labor Law Journal and the Employee Relations Law Journal.  His published works include Fits and Starts for Mandatory Arbitration, 29 Hof. Lab. & Emp. L.J. 547 (Spring 2012); Realities of the Americans With Disabilities Act, 37 Employee Rel. L.J. 35 (Summer 2011); Supreme Court Tips Against Individual Rights - Again, 27 Hofstra Lab & Emp. L.J. 267 (2010); Say When: An Analysis Of Post-Ledbetter Continuing Violations, 36 Employee Rel. L.J. 19 (Autumn 2010); and Labor and Employment in New Jersey, Lexis Publishing, 2nd Edition 2000.

In his private life, Mr. Jacobs has been dedicated to numerous civic and philanthropic causes.

Jacobs is married to Robin Hodes Jacobs, a CPA, and has two children, Joshua and Rachel, both of whom are also graduates of Cornell.

Ridgeley Hutchinson is Executive Director of the New Jersey Carpenters Apprentice Training and Educational Fund. He joined the Carpenters Union in Princeton in 1978 where he served an apprenticeship.  In 1994 he was elected Business Representative of Carpenters Local 781, Princeton.  In 2002 he was appointed to the executive board of the New Jersey Regional Council of Carpenters where he serves as a trustee.  That same year he was also appointed to serve as a trustee to the New Jersey Carpenters Health and Pension Fund.  In 1996 Mr. Hutchinson was appointed by Governor Whitman to the New Jersey Clean Water Council where he served for 6 years.  He is currently the co-chairman of the Mercer County Chapter of The Alliance for Action.

Joshua Hodes is a Partner at Public Strategies Impact. Previously, Mr. Hodes has served as Chief of Staff to Assembly Majority Leader Joseph P. Cryan and as senior staff member of the Assembly Majority Office, advising the Assembly Democratic Caucus on public policy initiatives.

Mr. Hodes has also served as Associate Director of Athletic Development for the Rutgers University Foundation where he was responsible for soliciting major gift donations, which provided educational opportunities for Rutgers' nearly 800 student athletes. In 2008, Mr. Hodes served as a political advisor to the Hillary Clinton for President Campaign in New Jersey. As a result of his work on the campaign, he was elected as a page at the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver.

Mr. Hodes received his Masters in Labor and Employment Relations from Rutgers and also holds a Bachelor of Science from Rutgers College.

Andrew P. Sidamon-Eristoff, New Jersey State Treasurer

Andrew P. Sidamon-Eristoff was nominated by Governor Chris Christie to serve as State Treasurer. Mr. Sidamon-Eristoff is an accomplished leader in public sector budget, revenue and tax system administration.  Prior to his nomination, from 2003 to 2006, Mr. Sidamon-Eristoff served as Commissioner of the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, the nation's second-largest state revenue administration.  From 1999 to 2002, he served as New York City Commissioner of Finance and as a three-times elected member of the New York City Council from 1993 to 1999.

Between 2006 and 2008, Mr. Sidamon-Eristoff performed a series of short-term consulting assignments from Chemonics International, an international development consulting firm, then executing a Business Climate Reform project in the Republic of Georgia for the U.S. States Agency for International Development. Mr. Sidamon-Eristoff is currently a member of the Internal Revenue Service's Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committee and is a former President of the North Eastern States Tax Officials Association and board member of the Federation of Tax Administrators.

Mr. Sidamon-Eristoff earned a bachelor's degree, cum laude, from Princeton University and a juris doctor degree, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center.  He also earned an Advanced Professional Certificate in Information Technology from New York University.

He is married to the former Catherine E. Baxter and they have three children.

Rochelle Hendricks, Secretary of Higher Education

New Jersey's first secretary of higher education, Rochelle Hendricks, has more than 20 years of experience working on education issues in the Garden State.  Appointed to the Cabinet-level post by Governor Chris Christie in May, Secretary Hendricks had served previously as acting commissioner of New Jersey's Department of Education, having been named to that post in August 2010. 

Prior to that assignment, Secretary Hendricks had served in the Department of Education as assistant commissioner for the Division of School Effectiveness and Choice, overseeing key reform initiatives and areas, including the Offices of Board Development, Small Learning Communities and School Culture, District Schools, Turnaround Partnerships, Inter-District Choice and Opportunity Scholarships, Charter Schools, Career and Technical Education, and Online Education. 

Secretary Hendricks had also served in the Department of Education in various other capacities, working as director of the Professional Development Office, manager of the Office of Policy and Planning in the Administration Division, assistant to the deputy education commissioner, director of the Office of Vocational-Technical, Career and Innovative Programs, and director of the Office of Innovative Programs and Schools.  She also managed the Charter School Unit within the Office of Innovative Programs and Schools. 

Prior to joining the staff of the Department of Education, she worked for over 15 years at Princeton University in numerous capacities, including assistant dean of students, director of the Educational Opportunities Program, and interim director of the Women's Program. 

Secretary Hendricks began her career as a teacher in the Rumson Fair Haven Regional High School District before joining the Department of Education in 1987.
